At COMEP we take great pride in our craft by manufacturing windows and doors of impeccable quality, that are both timeless and elegant. Even before the masters such as Palladio, Le Corbusier, Gropius, Mis van der Rohe, the world's designers understood the importance of light and air, and how it directly resulted into the wellness and character of any structure. Following in the footsteps of their predecessors, today’s accomplished designers recognize the same benefits the minimal sight-lines of steel and bronze fenestration afford not only the end user, but those who merely witness it. Bringing the outside world in and doing so with unmatched elegance, we work to bring your vision to light, both literally and figuratively. Together we can shape each element in order to fit perfectly your expectations and desires: our handcrafted approach is intended to produce the perfect custom doors and windows, made to measure and one of a kind.

COMEP is a place where our artisans are encouraged to express their talent in transforming noble materials such as steel and bronze into luxury windows and doors. The result of their dedication and brilliance is a finished product that is a rare combination of unequaled elegance and functionality.

A house, like any other structure, should be projected as an orchestra, in which many individual instruments accompany the notes of the soloists. The whole sound creates the atmosphere, the coherence of all the players excites and highlights the choices of the director. Of course, it’s you. And the best part is that there are no limits to your imagination.

We are steel and bronze window manufacturers and iron and brass craftsmen since the end of the 20th century. Our story begins in Venice, the fascinating city where everything seems unreal, where magic is strong in each little street, the place where you never really know what you will find at the end of each bridge, canal, or path.

While a child, at the knee of his uncle Augusto, a renown craftsman in the region, Bruno learned the artisanal craft of fine metalwork, using both iron and bronze. Looking to continue and enhance the lessons taught him by his uncle, Bruno migrated the 200 miles south-west to Florence, an area long associated with the finest bronze work throughout the globe. As word of his craftsmanship spread, Bruno decided that there was an opportunity of applying his craft in the arena of custom fenestration creating luxury metal windows. The result of his revelation:

COMEP Infissi.... COnstruction MEtal Pellegrin..

Year after year our reputation grew culminating in the collaboration with Secco Sistemi,  the world’s first thermally broken steel and bronze window system, and the benchmark by what the other companies and systems aspire to be. Today we “MARRY” the best of “OLD WORLD” Artisanal Craftsmanship, with today’s modern manufacturing processes/techniques. Our ability to effectively manage these two decidedly different groups, enables us to provide the finest finished products at a uniquely distinctive value.

Continuing the company’s  natural progression, Bruno’s son Gianluca, has joined the Familial Flagship, and is now responsible, for the future endeavors of the company moving forward.  Bruno is still  spearheading our efforts, and guiding Gianluca on future endeavors, waiting for the day when his grandson or granddaughter are ready to begin their reign and tutorials, and there children…

What is the best material for your luxury windows and doors?

The choice of materials isn’t simple because the same element must respond to many needs. Aesthetic look, energy efficiency, insulation capacity and safety. We can enhance your project with a selection of natural, prestigious and timeless materials, such as steel, architectural bronze, stainless steel, wood clad, always providing for high resistance and long-lasting durability (with low maintenance). Each material is elevated by several custom patinas, obtained by the artistic sense of our craftsmen, where each surface is unique and exclusive for an unparalleled charm. We’re here to help you discovering all the characteristic of each material.

  • OS2 is an excellence of the Italian design and winner of the compasso d’oro, awarded for its capability to improve and innovate the today’s window and door industry. Designed by Secco Sistemi, OS2 is a suite of profiles to construct Metal Windows and Doors characterized by extreme narrow sightlines, versatility and everlasting, prestigious materials (steel, cor-ten, stainless steel 316 and Architectural Bronze).

Born to fulfill the increasing need of energy savings and upgrade historical or heritage buildings, OS2 has allowed, for the first time ever, to create Thermally Broken Steel and Bronze Windows and Doors able to evoke the narrow sightlines of the old fascinating FerroFinestra window and door systems widely used in the 19th, 20th centuries.

Greatly appreciated by architects and designers for its revolutionary design, OS2 represents the first thermally broken profile that gives you the opportunity to provide equal shapes for all the metal frames included in the project. Recognize a fixed, from an operable, or a door from a bifold, rather than, a lift and slide door, has never been so difficult. The minimal frames are designed to be essential and obtain the maximum glass transparency

    Available in OS2 40, OS2 65, OS2 75, OS2 BV.

  • EBE is the first Thermally Broken Steel and Bronze Frame designed by Secco Sistemi to manufacture Metal Windows and Doors characterized by narrow sightlines, everlasting materials, strength and performance ideal to meet the harder design challenges and lowest thermal and acoustic rates.

In addition to thermally broken steel and bronze windows and doors, EBE profiles are available in Cor-ten and Stainless Steel 316. The Metal Profiles are available in three different depths EBE-65, EBE-75 and EBE-85 to house double or triple glazing and achieve the best performance in terms of energy-savings and acoustic. The deeper substrate of polyamide and polyurethane that make up the profiles provides for superior strength and possibility to achieve the desired architectural intent maintaining narrow sightlines typical of Steel and Bronze Windows and Doors.

    Available in EBE-65, EBE-75, EBE-85 and EBE-Style.

  • W40, the par excellence for FerroFinestra Windows and Doors, provides a suite of different metal profiles, designed by Ottostumm, for the manufacturing of hot-rolled steel or bronze windows and doors. The minimalist aesthetics of solid hot-rolled profiles and their ability to shape windows is unique and convey to the end products an everlasting elegance emphasizing the facade transparency.

Born by the need to combine the steel and bronze window uniqueness with modern comfort and regulations, the W50TB variant provides for thermally broken steel or bronze windows that are identical and mimic the shapes and reveals of the original iron windows. The perfect match makes W50TB ideal for the renovation of windows in historic or heritage buildings of the 19th and 20th centuries and a very distinctive choice for high-end residential and boutique buildings or custom homes.

The Architectural Bronze halves that make up the thermally broken profiles are extruded, which means the material is pre-heated to become malleable and then pushed through a mold that shapes the profile at the desired form.

Thanks to this process, we are able to fabricate extruded bronze windows, also known as solid bronze with thermally broken frames. Every bronze product is made of copper alloys that convey windows and doors an undisputed charm.

    Available in W40 or W50TB.

  • Designed by Secco, AMF stands for all metal frames, a series of profiles defined by the continuity of the metal, without the addition of any insulator material, for the manufacturing of Steel, Cor-ten, Stainless Steel, or Architectural Bronze Windows and Doors.

Largely used in the nineties to fabricate narrow steel windows and doors, it still represents a good compromise for all the projects that do not require restrictive thermal performance. The frames are in fact designed in the depths to mount single or double glazing panes option increasing the thermal performance of the end products.

The cold roll-forming technology, involved to create the AMF profiles, is the same implemented for the fabrication of the metal halves applied for thermally broken profiles clear sign that what has been done in the past, is not forgotten, but improved with the added knowledge.

    Available in AMF or AMF-2.0.
